Course Details

Course Fees

Faculty, Specialist, Gov't or Industry attendees: $500.00
Graduate student/Resident attendees: $300.00

Course fees include the course notes and refreshments during scheduled breaks. Fees do not include meals, lodging, or travel expenses.

Acceptable methods of payment are check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). For more info, see the course registration form.

Course Location

The Yaksh Lab address is 214 Dickinson St, San Diego, CA 92103. This address or the Hillcrest UCSD Medical Center address (200 W. Arbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92103) may be used when locating lodging and shuttle information.

The exact Course room location has not been fixed, but will be near the Yaksh Lab. Check back on the FAQ page for Course location updates.

Travel

Airport & Ground Transportation

San Diego Harbor

The San Diego International Airport is serviced by all major air carriers.

From the airport:

Some hotels have free shuttles, enquire when booking rooms.
Taxis readily available, fare to most nearby hotels: $12.00 – $15.00 USD single occupant, major credit cards accepted.
Cloud 9 Shuttle: $8.00 - 12.00 USD per person to nearby hotels.
All major rental car companies have airport offices with free shuttles.

From your hotel to the Course location:

Several hotels along Hotel Circle Drive South are within 0.5 mi. of the Hillcrest UCSD Medical Center (200 W. Arbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92103), but the walk is a brisk uphill trip.

Some hotels have free shuttle service to nearby destinations; hotels along Hotel Circle Drive may offer this service to the Hillcrest Medical Center. Taxis are readily available for travel between nearby hotels and Hillcrest Medical Center.

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System maintains bus lines which run along Hotel Circle Drive and have stops near Hillcrest Medical Center. Check the San Diego MTS web site for current routes.

Around San Diego:

Taxis, Cloud 9 Shuttle, or rental cars are best for longer trips. Some hotels have free shuttles to nearby tourist destinations such as Sea World or the San Diego Zoo and other points of interest.

Lodging

There are many hotels near the course location. Click here to search for lodging in the Mission Valley area (the closest to the course location). You may also search for hotels in other parts of San Diego, but Mission Valley is closest to the UCSD Medical Center.

Dining
